Irene's Myomassology Institute Reviews
My sister went through the program and absolutely loved it! I have gone to some of the elective classes, and they were very educational. The atmosphere at Irene's is unlike any other school I've been to. The people are very positive, and willing to answer any question you might have. If they don't know the answer they will help track it down for you. Such a wonderful place!
I am part of the 2013 Accelerated Graduating Class of IMI (not sure if they still offer that program, but I will say that it is not for the casual student, it is highly demanding and requires quick and efficient study). The curriculum is truly holistic, taught with a seemingly medical precision and the integration of the mind-body-spirit philosophy, intention is paramount when treating a client. Each and every instructor deeply cares about the quality of education provided to their students, and the quality of therapist their students become. Irene's curriculum emphasizes the importance of having a diverse base of knowledge about modality, technique, anatomy, physiology and pathology, proper application of technique and contraindication, therapist-client interaction, self-care and continuing education. Massage therapy is health-care, but treatment is far more reaching than physically manipulating soft tissue, there is a heart and soul inherently connected with every-body.
I love everything about this place. From the teachers and lessons to the grounds and the general vibe. It's such a perfect fit and I've never felt more welcome and supported. No questions are dumb questions, and the teachers really want to see you succeed. It's not just a job to them. I love everything about Irene's
