Iowa Central Community College Reviews

I enjoyed my online experience with Iowa Central because the staff and faculty are very helpful when it comes to navigating my online degree. I am a dual enrollment student and am currently in high school, so I was grateful to have people who could help me with questions about college and my degree specifically. Additionally, the course options were intriguing and the materials were academically challenging and interesting. Overall, I had a pretty good experience during my time of enrollment with Iowa Central Community College.
I just finished my freshman year at Iowa Central. If you are an accounting/business major, you will enjoy your classes and learn a lot. However, there are way too many "auditorium style" classes and it is an issue. For example, in one of my auditorium classes, a student athlete (cough cough, football team) got in a screaming match with the professor. Following that incident were multiple other incidents in the classroom/auditorium, and the students faced no punishments despite the fact that it was a borderline unsafe situation. The campus is ok, and I think the "student life" people do a good job of trying to keep people engaged on campus but it can get boring. It is a VERY conservative environment. The food in the caf is not good, and the food workers are mostly very rude and condescending. If you do not have the financial or academic means for a 4-year school (or are just wanting a two year education), go to Iowa Central. If not, don't waste your time and just go to a four year.
The atmosphere of Iowa Central is amazing. The faculty members are very caring, kind, and considerate of everybody bo matter who they are. The student inclusion for Iowa Central is top tier whether its clubs, sports, or student-led events. In conclusion, Iowa Central is the place to be if you want a big school college experience at a small campus.
