I’m currently a student at Iona college and I absolutely love my experience here. The academics and course choice variety is amazing. The professors are also extremely knowledgeable, understanding and helpful. Iona also has a wide variety of clubs and student organizations where every single student can find a place where they fit in and continue their passions. I’m really happy I chose to attend this college!
Very small campus and small school overall but makes you closer to the people you meet. It’s a very involved school snd athletic heavy as well. Professors are usually great and always willing to help extra if needed. Small classes like high school classes. No big lecture classrooms. A great atmosphere overall it just depends on what each person is looking for in a school. Definitely a little pricey though. Definitely give Iona a visit if you’re interested in a smaller institution!
Iona was a no for me other than the fact that I made some great friends, which was the one positive aspect. There are mice in the dining hall, classrooms, and dorms. There are no weekend events, so you'll be bored and likely return home almost every weekend. The town is filled by creepy homeless people, especially at night (be safe). Most likely won't be invited in because the parties are boring and extremely exclusive. Okay professors, but not much was learned. Sadly I did not enjoyed my experience there and decided to transfer. I would definitely select a different school if I could choose it all over again.
