Review InterCoast Career Institute - Portland
I paid 150.00 to enroll in the school, on October 25, 2013. The school has no record of my payment and wants me to pay for it again. At one point the school said I hadn't made my payment arrangement payment, because my check had bounced, and I had to pay before I could resume classes. I wasn't late and I had never paid by check, only cash or money order. They had confused me with another student, which is what I think they did in regards to my initial 150.00 payment as well. Very disorganized in that department. We also had to reapply for a grant that we had already applied for, because the school thought we could get it twice since we were enrolled 2013 and 2014. Mine approved the second time but never applied to my balance so I am not quite sure where that went.
I enjoyed going to school every day mostly because Mr. Beal is an extraordinary teacher. I am still waiting for my license as I have a criminal record (nothing drug related, no thefts, no felonies), which I had to find out on my own how to work towards getting my license with this as the school failed to mention how hard it would be. After discussing this with many students I found many of the students also had criminal records so the school really should have been more involved in how to move forward with this matter.
It was frustrating for everyone in my class when the school did not have anywhere lined up for our externships.
