Indiana University - Bloomington Reviews
Review Indiana University - Bloomington
Bloomington, sometimes referred to as the most beautiful campus in the world, is an overall excellent university. They offer almost any major one could imagine, and if not there is a program where you can create your own! The athletics are one of a kind, with one of the most invested fan bases in the US. Bloomington is one of the best college towns, offering a wide variety of restaurants and bars near campus. Dorms and housing are similar to any campus, there are pricy options with hotel status housing, and economic housing that's much more affordable. Whatever option you choose, you are sure to become a family and make friends. Overall, this campus ranks high on all levels, from academics to athletics.
While Indiana University-Bloomington does have one of the most beautiful college campuses according to many surveys, this university also has it's downfalls. I will begin by presenting the perks; IU is able to maintain a solid base of students who go on to make a considerable amount of money, and sustain a large amount of students enrolled overall. By having so many students, others are able to socialize more easily, and maybe get into study groups. On the flip side, having so many kids does have it's downsides. These negatives include having too many kids in a classroom, which leads to classroom annoyances. As well, this campus is very big so it is hard to get around. What I would like to see IU change is the amount of students enrolled because of the many hassles that follow it. Overall, IU Bloomington is a great university, and a graduate should feel very accomplished!
Before leaving for college, I was worried that I would get home sick. However, I do not believe there is a school that fits my needs better than Indiana University. The school is a large school, but is sectioned off to make the campus seem smaller than it truly is. The professors are very skilled at what they do. In addition, the restaurants on campus are remarkable! Now when I come back home, I actually get homesick because I feel like I can call Bloomington home.
