So far I've had a great time at IUSB, (Indiana University - South Bend). Unexpectedly I've meet a lot of friends here, I've never had a disagreement with anyone here. The on campus environment is really chill, you could talk to anyone and they will answer you back in a respectful manner. I dorm here on campus and it's been a great experience so far. I have my daily routine where I go to the gym in the morning and head to class at 10:00 am, hang out with friends until my 1:00 pm class and after that class I head to my apartment to relax and do homework. Outside of my routine, everyday seems like a different day! And I get to enjoy it with friends, I dorm with one of my closest friends on campus and we have really similar schedules, including classes. Me and my friend have a little friend group .Overall I have had a great time here at IUSB, other than stressing about assignments, everything here on campus has been Awesome!
I have a understanding counselor, he doesn't mind adjusting his schedule to meet with me. I had some awesome professors with my first semester. My only concern is that when I go to financial aid for help I am not treated like I feel that I should be. I have one person who I feel so treat me well and helps me. As an older student it's not always easy to understand the process of things. So it matters when you have a person who has patience with you to make sure you know what you are doing and why.
I love Indiana University - South Bend. I transferred here after my first college not being good at all and was worried this school would be similar but it isn't at all. My mental health is amazing here, the apartments that we live in are nice, the classrooms are amazing, and the fellow students are all so fun. The professors that teach here are so helpful and welcoming and understanding.
