I absolutely love my school! They always have some kind of activities going on where you can expand your social circle and make new friends! The staff, for the most part, is really approachable and fair. I do not live on campus, but I have heard nothing bad about the dorms besides the WiFi, which is probably a given with all those people connected to it at once. They even hold multiple events during finals to help with the stress. The campus is always so clean and the lawn is never less than perfect. The only bad thing is that for commuters, the parking garages and lots fill up very fast and it is basically the Hunger Games getting a parking spot as someone leaves from class. But overall, if I had to pick again, I would not even second guess myself!
Review Indiana University-Purdue University - Fort Wayne
As an exchange student from Puerto Rico studying at IPFW, my experience at the Univ. has been one full of surprises, laughs and great people. I couldn't have picked a better university! The classes are very different from my home town so the professors try and help with the transition as much as they can. The student government always has activities for the students where we can socialize, eat and get free goodies! So overall, #MastodonsRule
There are multiple events for the students with lots of freebie and free food. I love the newly renovated library and Kettler Hall, which are very modern and inspirational. There is also a very nice path along the river bank that I can take a walk or just bring school stuff out to study under the shades. Academically, the ratio between professors and students is nice as well. All of my nursing professors are attentive to my needs and almost all of them answered my emails and concerns within my expected time. The nursing professors and staffs do care about the students, academically and spiritually. There were numerous time my instructors checked on how I was doing with my clinical skills and guided and encouraged me to improve my skills and my understanding. The only problem that I often complain about is that we do not have a cafeterria that has a meal plan. The food is good but pretty expensive.
