Independence Community College Reviews
Rating 3.63 out of 5 72 reviews
ICC seems a little disorganized in the business side of things. The teachers seem to be really good and good at teaching their subjects. They just don't really communicate things well on the business side of things. They also seem very football focused which is not necessarily a bad thing but there could be focus to other aspects of the school.
Independence Community College is a very small town college experience. The College is small, the town is small, you basically only have Walmart as your place to shop. However, it's the community that makes the town. The community offers lots to do if you know how to look for it. There is Pennsylvania Ave, where they hold the annual NEEWOLLAH Halloween event for a full week. There is also The Hub which is a Church program held in a movie theater, they offer lots of community opportunities and events to attend. The academic advisors and student academic programs are very on it when it comes to offering students help with scholarship opportunities and making sure you're signing up for the right classes and graduating. ICC is also known for its football program being on the Netflix series "Last Chance U."
Independence Community College has been a blessing for me and has been great keeping me on track with my school work. I never thought I would be going to college, but here I am! I love everything that this school has done for me and will miss it when I transfer!
