Studio School gives students practical approaches to building careers in the entertainment industry. It is best compared to a vocational or technical school. Students are always creating. First, Studio School has fantastic professors that are recognized by name in the film and dance business. However, the professors are more focused on their careers. There is a high turnover rate of faculty. This can be a positive, or a negative; more exposure to professionals, but they leave before meaningful relationships are cultivated. Second, Studio School is nationally accredited; no schools will accept a degree or credits from Studio School! National accreditation is not better than regional. Virtually all colleges and universities are regionally accredited. If you're thinking of continuing education, or transferring, look elsewhere! Overall, it was worth my time at the school. But, you must also consider the risks before applying.

Being online is a bit rough especially if you are going to a performing arts school. All of my classes were online because of Covid-19, we weren't aloud on campus. The entire faculty did their absolute best to change everything and stay on top of communication with their students. Even when we felt down and felt like we didn't really know anything in the beginning, they had a school meeting with all the students on giving us updates on everything that was changing. Overall with everything being online our professors and faculty are doing everything they can to keep us informed and educated at the same time.
    Oh boy, this school.

    PRO :
-It's a small school, so you'll be able to get a lot of individual attention
-The staff, although small, does care so much.
-You'll be able to get plenty of experience in your major IF you go out of your way to get them.
-Also, you are living in Los Angeles, Downtown. So you can Metro to Hollywood

    CON:
-40k for what is essentially one hallway of classrooms.
-Most classes are made up, so credits aren't easily transferable. So if you don't like the school, have fun being a freshman again!
-They boast you being in a LIVE Studio lot but BE WARNED. You will never be allowed to use any soundstage, and the sets you might be allowed to use, will usually never work to your favor. So, as a filmmaker, be ready to drop the money for an on-location set.
-The school is small. So making friends is HARD, and the environment is like a highschool.
-They won't help you with money for projects or films.
    -No control of your schedule
