This is my second try at a nursing school and I must say I love Hondros. The teachers here so far are amazing. Whenever you need them, they are right there to help, even off campus hours. I have learned so much at this school so far and it actually sticks. I feel safe on campus and even the other staff members are friendly. One thing I would like to see change is the book policy. Because I went to a nursing school before I had some of the book already, I couldn't deny any of the hondros books because their policy is you took all the books or none at all. However, other than that no complaints, so far.
Hondros is a college solely for nursing so it gives an atmosphere to learn from others and peers that are further in the program. We don't get many labs so we have homework that makes up for the hours that are supposed to be labs, so our workload is heavy!
I have not started my first class with this school and am scheduled to do so on April fourth. I have studied the course manual, discussed the classes and work load with staff and students, and thoroughly reviewed the student portal which offers not only an online library but messaging tech support and a lot of online games that go with each class and topic. Day and evening classes are available as well as campus and online. No matter where you're class is or where you are you have access to support from several different sources. Classes are great size also, not so big you aren't able to get the education you want and deserve but still big enough to have the fun class experiences.
