Highland Community College - Kansas Reviews
My Highland experience has been a unique one, especially me coming from a huge town like Houston, Texas. To a small one like Highland, Kansas but my experience from my teaches, coaches, teammates, and peers has been one I will never forget. Highland being so small allowed me to connect with people all around me, including those who I thought I would never have a connection with. One thing I would like to say that could use a change is the way the security and other authoritative persons treat the athletes. There has been times we as athletes have been overlooked and disrespected.
I took Psychology through my school and wow was it an experience. It was actually not that bad, but not a college I’d want to get the rest of my education from. My teacher was great, and my class was fairly easy compared to what I thought a college class would be like. Again, I’m a high schooler, so maybe this adds some perspective. For my final, apparently my teacher gave us the wrong one, and just started grading it like normal, then that was our grade for the final. We all passed, but wow, if it was something I needed to graduate, I would be pretty upset and nervous that my education came down to something I had no control over.
I highly recommend high school students or any person seeking a 4 year degree starting at Highland. The cost per credit hour is much cheaper than a standard university and the professors have been great. My two years at the Wamego branch has been a great experience!
