Hesser College Reviews
Review Hesser College
I liked that the admissions counselor and financial aid were able to get me enrolled within a month. I also liked how I was able to earn my Associate's Degree completely online. I think they need to work on student's access to their professors, especially when there are obstacles in submitting their work.
The facilities are not up to par for what students pay. There is no criminal justice lab like portrayed on the commercial. When I took forensics they wanted us to pay $80 each out of pocket for a forensics kit on top of our text book. The kit included rubber gloves, glasses, and slides to preform fingerprint testing. It was a joke and ridiculous that those things are related to our choice of study and not provided to students when they take the class. I have never once been educated on internships and they do not offer jobs.
This question should be separated. The tuition is extremely reasonable. I will not leave Hesser College with a huge burden of debt. I will leave Hesser College with a very solid foundation to work from. The variety of professors are a great mix of professionals with extensive information to offer students. The financial aid office has been a pure nightmare since day one. In the past two years of my own personal experience, I have been repulsed with the lack of professionalism, harsh attitudes, and unknowledgeable people who simply do not educate students of financial aid information. It appears as though the staff has been untrained or simply do not care to share with students. A recent clean sweep of most of the financial aid advisors has occurred. Let's hope for improvement down the road. My advice is to do your homework ahead of time. Knowing your options is always the best road traveled anyway.
