Henderson tries to make everyone feel welcome and comfortable. They understand what incoming freshmen are feeling and going through. I appreciated that they go above and beyond to show people around and answer their questions. The campus is beautiful and is constantly being cleaned up and taken care of. Some of the building around campus need to be updated and also I feel like with the growing student population the library needs to be larger. Yes, there are computer labs in most building but the library is one of the central buildings on campus and it is lacking a bit. Saying that, the atmosphere of the college makes up for the few things that need to be updated. Go Reddies!
HSU is a great college, wonderful atmosphere. I would say coming form my home town traveling to AR I could tell it was really segregated in a way. I enjoyed the experience, I felt as tough it was nice place to find myself. there were so many types of people there, I did meet some of my best friends at that college. The first thing I noticed was how beautiful the landscaping was, and also how nice some of the people were. There was always time to meet up with teachers if you did not understand something during the class time, i never had a problem with that! Its really about preference really, I enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and how the school was like its own little town.
