I really enjoyed being able to choose to have such a flexible schedule when enrolling in upcoming semester classes. I love the fact that there are not just college degree options offered, but continuing education credit hours and certificates are some of the many options as well! This college also has many articulation and continuing education programs; meaning a lot of Bachelor's level colleges will take HACC credits and ensures smooth transfers, wile saving thousands of dollars! Harrisburg Area Community College is affordable, local, and a wonderful opportunity overall for many adults of all ages to jumpstart their careers and education! I do not see a need to make any changes at this time.
Great school to get general credits out of the way. There are a diverse amount of two-year programs, but I never specialized in anything (general studies), so I can't make a comment on it. I am an online student. I have been to the Harrisburg campus a handful of times (mostly the exhibition rooms), and it's quite big. I mostly had some great classes and some okay classes. Twice I had taken classes that were non-productive and outdated. If you are looking for a cheaper college experience, HACC is a great way to go. I found most of my classes compelling, and you get a diverse group of people attending with you. If you're unsure about college as a whole, HACC is also great to use to test the waters and learn if it's for you. Just be prepared to advocate for yourself, as the advising department isn't the greatest, and career services haven't been worth it. Local life is around the Harrisburg area, but specifically not near the college. You'll need to have transportation of some sort.
Online schooling is super nice, set up is easy and understandable! They’re all super helpful if
