Harrisburg Area Community College - Harrisburg Reviews
Review Harrisburg Area Community College - Harrisburg
Following my retirement after 25 years of state service, I decided I wanted to gain new skills and abilities to continue doing something I would enjoy. HACC was a natural. It offered an ABA-approved Paralegal Studies Certificate program. I could not have made a better decision. The work was not easy, nor was it overwhelming. It was on point. The enthusiasm of the professors, barring none, was so rewarding that it made me want to apply the same enthusiasm to learning. Within weeks of graduating, I received offers. Now I look forward to embarking on a new career knowing that I have gained the skills and abilities to be successful.
Harrisburg Area Community College is, as with most community colleges, a fantastic place to both go to post-secondary school and work towards a degree at a lower cost than a four-year university or public institution. What sets Harrisburg Area Community College apart from the rest (other than the beautiful campus hidden inside Wildwood Park and the Capital Area Greenbelt) is the dedication to each student's success in the classroom and in their degree track. Both professors and members of College administration want nothing more than to see their students succeed, and this is evident all over campus.
Going to Harrisburg Area Community College was one of the best decisions I made for myself and my major. I am a Graphic and Interactive Design major, and I went through a vigorous 3-semester long Graphic Design Program after completing all of my general education courses. Marjaneh Talebi is the program director, and I am extremely glad that I had her help and her guidance. She drills everything you need to know into your brain. This program is hard, it's stressful, and you will need to dedicate all your time to it, but it is worth it.
