Grand View University Reviews

I thought Grand View was amazing! I love the community, being from a small town in the Midwest. Grand View was the perfect size and in the perfect area, because Des Moines is a “country big city.” I also really loved the small class sizes and the way the professors personally connected to the students. They understood that we have our own lives and they took that into consideration when dealing with our schoolwork.
Grand View was a different area in Des Moines than I am used to in my native Kansas City. It is still another big city, but it takes a while to get to other parts of the city. The school has a small class size which I think is very beneficial. I feel as if I have made personal connections with my professors and I'm not just another one of their students, but someone that they care for and want to see succeed. One thing I wish I could change is the quality of the food in the café. It is decent and there are many options, but sometimes they can get tiring if nothing seems very appetizing for a couple of days straight. Overall, my first year there was a great experience and I am looking forward to my sophomore year.
I love Grand View. It is such a positive place to be, learn and play sports. Everyone is very nice and understanding from professors to athletic coaches. Lots of opportunities and job openings after graduation!
