Georgia Southern University Reviews
Review Georgia Southern University
Georgia Southern University is a great school! The professors have the heart to get to know the students. There are great opportunities to network through student organizations. This school holds many job fairs throughout the year so students will be able to connect with companies for potential jobs and internships. Also, there are great opportunities to work with professors on undergraduate and graduate research. This is an awesome school and I recommend the university to all students. The one thing that I would like to see change is for the programs to have more electives in learning upcoming design programs that companies use today.
I am a sophomore here at Georgia Southern University and for the most part I think it's alright here. You can believe the rumors about it being the huge "Party School of the South" but if you stay focused on why you're here in the first place(getting a degree and becoming successful in life), it's not hard at all to do well here. There are students here who are completely driven and are excellent students here. Don't want to brag but I believe I am one of them, I have a 3.7 GPA and I am also apart of Southern Leaders. GSU is one of the few Universities in the nation that have an organization that tailored to building current student's character to be a leader in the future. One of the main reasons why I like it here for sure, Southern has a long list of other organizations that can get you involved as well, I'm not going to go on and on about them but if you come take a tour of Southern; you'll see how nice this place is! HAIL SOUTHERN!
I am African American and I sort of went into Georgia Southern expecting to see a lot of racism from what I've heard. However I love this school! Everyone here is always so super nice to me and I made friends quicker than I expected, since I am sort of an introvert. Everyone has so much hospitality at this school and in this city as a whole that it's head spinning. They also have many activities you can participate in including the equestrian team and archery team, which I joined. It's an awesome diverse place really!
