My experience at Gene Juarez was short and sweet. In the three months I made great friends the teachers were decent. It never really made the effort to teach you more. It's hard to get information that isn't taught to you. The teachers aren't always there for you and the criteria learned is hard and the teachers are okay with mediocre work, it's hard to get better because they only help so much. Cosmetology school isn't all it's cracked up to be it takes a lot of hard work and dedication, but don't rely on the instructors. They only do so much.

I enjoyed the tour I was given when I visited. They went into great detail about every aspect of this college.
It's a fun learning environment but they are not teaching us the way "real hairstylist" do things in the "real world" They know it too. I have a lot of friends that have graduated from gene juarez and have been working in the salons for a few years plus and not much of what they learned they use.
