I am in my second semester of school at Gadsden State, and everything has been great. The staff at the Ayers campus is accommodating and the teachers are good and seem to care about the success and well-being of their students. I am a cosmetology student and the Salon and Spa building is beautiful with all of the amenities necessary for my technical work. The library offers free coffee and snacks to students who need to fuel up before or during class. There is always a food truck on campus, so students can purchase food, drinks, and snacks.
I cannot say enough positive comments about Gadsden State. All of my professors were great! They were easy to contact through the Blackboard system and quickly responded whenever I had a question. Their grading was always very fair. Because it is a community college, there aren't many people that actually live on campus. Therefore, there isn't exactly a party scene. There are dorms, but it consists of mostly athletes that live to far away to commute. The dorms have been recently remodeled and are huge! There are two spacious bedrooms that share a large double vanity and bathroom.
Gadsden State has lots of diversity. They offer a lot of programs and opportunities especially for those who plan to go into the medical field. The Instructors are awesome and are very intelligent too which I could just soak in all their teaching all day! I love learning at Gadsden State because of the almost family-like oriented community. Although there is a lot of diversity, there is also a lot of community. Gadsden State always has some type of event or fair going on! Classrooms are not overcrowded and it is really easy to get feedback from professors because of that!
