I love the communication that I receive from FAU. I feel like I was really embraced in this school. Any questions or issues that FAU is requiring, they will call you personally. I, for one, appreciate those calls as it is a great reminder to get the ol' gears turning and start working on anything that must be completed!
I have been taking online classes with FAU's Wilkes Honors College since the Fall 2020 semester. It is easy to tell that the professors genuinely care for the students and go out of their way to improve the online learning environment as much as possible. Most professors will almost instantly reply to emails sent by the students, and this quick communication has been very beneficial in my studies. The course content is generally interesting, and the professors successfully make the classes more entertaining through fun activities, humor, or involvement in discussions. I have benefitted more from the Honors College's online learning than I have from in-person learning at previous institutions.
I have been attending classes online for the FAU's Wilkes Honors College. The teachers and staff are very supportive and understanding. If a student has a time conflict because of an unexpected event they are typically excused for the day without penalty. Through my experience, I can tell that the professors genuinely care for the well-being of the students. Professors are more than willing to assist with any questions about material, often have good office hours, and most are willing to schedule appointments to the student's convenience. I do not believe I have been a part of any institution that has made me feel more cared for by the community. FAU's policies can sometimes make accomplishing tasks more difficult, the prices for dorms are expensive, but overall this is the place I want to be.
