I am both a student at Estrella and at Valley Vista High School. The Achieving a College Education (ACE) Scholarship Program made this possible. I am more than appreciative of the support with the program and throughout the campus. Everyone seems to know and love the ACE students. This makes for a very friendly and supportive environment for students like me. There are opportunities for me here and helpful resources such as a college and career center, tutoring centers, campus bookstore, private study rooms, and a student union (a fun and relaxing place for students to get together)! I have loved every moment on this campus and will continue to pursue a high education here until I have obtained my Associates in Science.
I love how the classes are small compared to University classes. It's the perfect way to transition from high school to college, in my opinion. The teachers are very inviting as well! They really encourage you to speak to them one-on-one and they actually listen. However, they are not overbearing in their attempts to communicate with the students so it's perfect for fellow introverts.
I have been attending Estrella Mountain College for a little over a year now, i am in my 4th semester. I have really enjoyed my experience. I always feel safe on campus, it seems like the campus police are always around and aware of the surroundings. My education at Estrella has been very good. I have worked very hard and I have maintained a 4.0. The professors I have had have been extremely nice and very dedicated to teach people. The professors have made each class a great learning environment and enjoyable to attend. The cafeteria staff is very nice and to food is pretty good. I Love going to school and look forward to a another year at Estrella Mountain community college.
