Elizabeth City State University Reviews
This is my first semester here at Elizabeth City State University in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. I am originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, so moving five hours a way was a big deal to my family and I. ECSU has been nothing but welcoming to me since I have been here. The reason I came all the way to the outer banks for college is because ECSU is the only four year Aviation Science program in North Carolina. I aspire to be a professional pilot, and I was looking for a school where I could get an education at and start my flight training. Not only has the school itself have been great, but the aviation department themselves are very community orientated and tight knit, which has proved to be beneficial for my educational growth.
My experience on campus is okay I’m in band so I’m always busy with that and school work but when it comes to academics it’s hard to find a good teacher to help you when you need it. Many teachers aren’t always helpful when you actually need help it. The safety at school isn’t that well, many officers are too friendly with the students so to me they aren’t really do there job like they are suppose to. Since I been at school we have had a shooting on the campus, someone had gotten killed, and the dorms have been unlivable for some students due to mold.
My experience at Orientation was awesome! We took a tour of the campus and met with financial aid officers. Everyone was very nice and helpful. The campus is clean and neat. I really like the small class size at the university. It makes me feel more comfortable.
