When I first visited Edward Waters, I immediately felt at home. As a senior in high school, I wasn't sure whether I wanted to attend an HBCU or PWI, but after attending Edward Waters, I knew I had made the right decision to attend here, they showed me what an HBCU is all about and more. I adore the welcoming environment this university holds. Whether it's meeting new people or joining a new club or group, everyone—from the adults to your fellow students—will make you feel at home. Monthly events are hosted and you’re always in the loop about it. The cafeteria offers a variety of options, including vegan and soul food, in addition to Tiger Stripe Cafe. Sports are a hot topic here as well, and I for one enjoy watching our teams compete in our home gym or field because it's always entertaining whether we win or lose. I wouldn’t change nothing I was able to experience Edward Waters College change into Edward Waters University and they are only getting better. I’m glad I attended here.
At Edward Waters College, online courses are widely used in colleges providing easy access to course materials, classroom discussions, and feedback to instructors. The course materials and activities may be accessed from any computer, whether it is from the University or from the comfort of your own home.
I only been here for a week because I am a transfer but from what I can tell, the school is very welcoming. They gave us free mask and a shirt and they gave us sanitizer and a computer for those who don’t access to one. The only thing is that they are unorganized because they tell us things last minute because when I was enrolling it took me forever to get cleared. I’ll do everything they ask me and then they add more to it. I went to multiple zoom meetings and it took at least an hour or more for them to talk to me.
