Eastern Washington University is a beautiful and diverse place to attend college. There are so many ways to get involved and they have something for everyone! My favorite part of EWU is having this feeling of belonging somewhere. I have created a family here and wouldn't trade it for the world. The staff members helped me decide what I wanted to major in by simply being nice and encouraging. They steer you on the right path and are always there for you. Applying to EWU was one of the best decisions of my life.
What makes my school unique is the fact that I feel safe when walking alone at night. I also love the fact that the class size is small and manageable for a professor to deal with and teach. My favorite experience would have to be orientation when in the summer for when I was a freshman. Orientation made me sure that I had picked the perfect school for myself and my parents wallet. If I could choose a school all over again I would definitely still pick Eastern Washington University, the town is small yet growing, all the locals make us students feel at home away from home. The professors and guiders are welcoming and are always looking for the best in our situations or interests. And there are also so many activities to get or be involved in that you wont feel lost or forgotten. Eastern is perfect and continues to be perfect for me!
Eastern is very focused on athletics. The football, basketball, and volleyball teams are very popular and lots of students attend these games. They have quite a few classes that focus on physical activity as well. You can get credit for going to the gym, doing yoga, etc. I really liked that you could get credit for every hour you are in the gym and because those classes are so popular the gym was very clean and had a large variety of machines. I liked the Eastern gym so much that I would go back just to use it even if I wasn't a student!
