I have yet to experience the atmosphere of Eastern Washington University as I am transferring from Bushnell University in Eugene, Oregon. However, in the enrollment and registration process, I can already tell I am going to love it there as my academic advisor is already ten times better than my last. I feel heard at Eastern so far which is more than can be said for my time at Bushnell. My time at Bushnell ended traumatically, and I am hoping Eastern provides me with a fresh start. I am hoping to earn this scholarship as I have no other way of paying for school. In transferring I lost my academic and athletic scholarships from Bushnell and I am unable to work due to injuries. This will not stop me from attending Eastern, a school with my dream physical therapy program!
I’ve been on many visits, I was going to review my highschool but no highschools are available, so I’m going to review my experience with eastern so far. Eastern Washington university is a extremely beautiful campus, all of the staff and student that I have met are extremely friendly and I’m super excited to be a freshman there. The campus is filled with a quite a bit bit of diversity which is super exciting coming from a small town. I made the cheer team and everyone on the team is extremely friendly, being a homeless senior in highschool going into Freshman year of college with housing is going to be so good and easier for me to get work done. And a whole lot better than my highschool. Can’t wait to start at ewu but don’t have the materials yet but il get there. I don’t have a return of investment so I’m going to pick a random one! I’ve traveled to their campus quite a few times though!
I like Eastern Washington because the professors in my department, Exercise Science, really want you to succeed and do well in each class. They encourage you to go to their office hours and ask questions about the material. I have also made some of my closest friends while here at Eastern, especially at the Catholic Newman Center. The Newman Center has become my home and I have grown in my faith while I have been there the past four years. The Newman community is so friendly, welcoming, and kind. The chapel is also always open so I can go in there to pray in between classes, which I love!
