Pros: Good academics, especially in engineering. The professors care about you and your success. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. The campus itself is pretty nice for a small school. The chapels and worship nights are great as well.

Cons: Lack of diversity - almost everyone is Dutch and Christian Reformed. It's very cold for most of the year. There isn't much to do in Sioux Center and there aren't a lot of on-campus clubs or activities either.

I love Dordt College because of the friendships and the community I have experienced here. As a student wanting to grow in my education as well as my Christian faith, this place has helped me become the person that God has created me to be. I am going into my sophomore year of college, and I was so excited to come back! It is home to me. The small class sizes allow me to get to know more students and my professors on a first-name basis. There is not much that I would recommend they change. This school is a great choice!
My top three favorite things about Dordt is the welcoming community, professors that really care about you and your education, and the Christ-centered atmosphere. Dordt sits in a small, conservative town in Northwest Iowa with a deep Dutch and Christian Reformed heritage. There is a Walmart and multiple restaurants in town and Sioux City and Sioux Falls are both around an hour away. Everyone is very welcoming at Dordt and with a small condensed campus you're sure to run into friends and acquaintances on your way to class.
