Review Doane University - Lincoln-Grand Island
The college provided me upfront with out of pocket expenses. I have applied at other colleges that specialize in working with adult learners, and they would not provide out of pocket costs until tuition was due. So many options for support at this college make it one of the best.
Good Variety – There's lots of variety, so much, I have trouble choosing! There's lots of Chinese, Vietnamese, Italian, sandwich shops, Mexican.. And so forth. And there are some real Vietnamese places in particular, that are extremely fresh and authentic. Though most of the food is fresh. There are decent prices, depending on where you go. Not a lot of student discounts though.
Apartments Are Expensive! I am living in an apartment 2 blocks away from school. It is a very big apartment complex and seem like to always available (1 or2 bedrooms). I have asked for prices around this area (especially those on Vine street). Apartment in this area is expensive and not worth it. It is close to school but when comparing price and quality, it doesn't match. Paying for a one bedroom around this area cost as much as paying for 2 bedrooms elsewhere. Some have amenities like pool and gym, but some of them only offer cable. the building is not new, and so is the inside. This area is clean and neat, but definitively not worth the rent.
