I completed one year at DVC and am about to start my second year. I had a great experience my first year. Thanks to their online resources and counselors I was able to find all the classes I needed for my education. I enjoyed all of them, and all of my teachers were very passionate about their job. I was able to make friends in each class. The whole campus is actually very friendly, from staff to students. If you get the chance, you should totally join a club! I did the art club, and it was such a great experience, I'm doing it again this semester. Also, the Library is great. I spent most of my free time between classes there. They have plenty of space and computers, plus a nice view of Mount Diablo. DVC's program for new college students is awesome. My entire first year was free since I was a full time student. I've been able to save a lot of money by attending this college. If I could get my Bachelor's here, I would.

Great environment It's a really nice community college! The class and tuition fees are super low which allows you to take more classes with less money. Financial aid is always there to help and always have some sort of aid to hand out. The campus itself is super beautiful with new and modern-looking buildings and classrooms. There's a large pond in the middle of the campus where students like to hang out and study. All around the college, there are warm grass areas in the sun to chill between classes. The campus is right next to downtown pleasant hill where you can find the sunvalleey mall and tons and tons of stores and restaurants.
The campus offers a great selection of classes, as well options for programs. If you utilize the academic counselors, you will have no problem transferring to a 4 year school successfully.
The only negative I can think of is the parking. It is HORRIBLE! You have to make sure to get to school early in order to find parking.
