Diablo Valley College (DVC) is a very top notch junior college. Professors were great In both providing insightful lecturing and any needed help. Classes were also excellent overall. The best and most helpful thing that I experienced outside of the classroom was the available counseling. Counselors were attentive and provided clear guidance. They helped me tremendously in both selecting a major (computer science) and a top notch four year University which I will attend this fall.
As a drawback, it is vastly a commuter school so it lacks some camaraderie, club involvement and sports enthusiasm that might otherwise be desired.
Overall, I recommend it highly. DVC was a great experience!

Super helpful staff! This is my first year here and the process as well as the professors has been amazing. The bookstore waa able to get me my book in no time! Which is great considering all that is going on with COVID-19 this year. The tech support has also been outstanding. I was having computer trouble and someone was able to help me navigate around the issues I was having. Due to remote learning, DVC has been able to quickly accommodate all the students and provide them with laptops and whatever other technology needed.
My experience with Diablo Valley has been completely positive. I was originally intimidated, but the support that I received from students and instructors was absolutely amazing! I was a 2.0 student in High School; I have been on the Dean's list for my entire freshman year. Choosing this school was the best idea ever. Who knew that at age 58, I would be in love with continuing my education. It wouldn't be possible if not for the great staff. This school does everything to help me succeed in reaching my goal. I would recommend Diablo Valley to anyone beginning or continuing education. I am excited for my sophomore year!
