Super great place to start out of high school or as a reentry student. Relatively small and personal campus with an excellent library with lots of space to study and chill. There's a dining hall if you want a snack and also the book store has a lot of the things you'll need for classes. Faculty are pretty caring since there are small class sizes, and they'll def help you with anything you need. STEM classes are pretty cool with the lab portions having a lot of good experiences. All in all really good community college!
My time at DVC was an outright wonderful experience. From my first semester to my last, nearly every professor I had was focused on my success and orienting their course to better my time as a student. Although there were bumps in the road due to the COVID-19 pandemic, I can confidently say that DVC is an outstanding university and one that I would personally recommend to any student interested in a junior college. I’ll always be grateful for my time at DVC and am thankful that I was able to call myself a viking!
I studied at Diablo Valley College as an International student and I loved how supportive the staff was. Sometimes I was a little insecure with my English, but all the professors I had were very understanding and helpful. The campus is amazing and equipped with everything we need. I love th system to sign up for class and the classrooms. The only thing I would change is the classes availabilities, there are classes that are only held on very inconvenient times. It would be amazing if classes could have options for mornings and evenings rather than 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM twice a week or example. Overall, my experience at DVC was great!
