I think that DDCC is pretty great. For a community college I could think of nowhere else I'd prefer to go. You get a student life experience that rivals many 4-year universities and they give you a lot of resources to succeed. Plus, we get free tutoring! Even though they don't have dorms on campus (or at least not yet) I still feel like DDCC is my home away from home. There's always something to do or someone to talk to as well as many quieter spaces to study. The Storm Cellar's food is really good, especially the tenders. I wish there were more athletic programs but they are slowly expanding and I personally think that we're pretty competitive for a school our size. I always feel safe and supported here, so if you're looking for a community college I would go here!
It is a beautiful campus for one! The map can be confusing. But once you’ve figured it out, it’s fairly easy to navigate. The food is fair priced, and the cafe workers are so sweet. The teachers answer emails quickly and kindly send out reminders of assignments due. With a wide variety of classes, you can definitely find something you’d want to do there and get your head start! 10/10 recommend this school!
I've had few experiences with in-person classes, however, when they did occur the professors were polite and respectful to all students and their questions. They covered all the materials that would be put on the test and specified expected deadlines for projects. Online classes were a different case however a few of the professors were able to compare to the in-person professors, though, the rest were difficult to communicate with, and when communication was attempted the issues that were being emailed about were not resolved, leaving me to figure out the situation on my own.
