I appreciate the commitment of faculty and staff. Being an education major, the education classes are the best classes I have taken. Great school!

Dalton State has plenty to offer students. Anything and everything you need on campus is all within 5 minutes walking distance. If you can't find what you're looking for on campus, Dalton State is located just mere minutes away from the interstate and West Walnut Avenue, which is where the majority of Dalton's restaurants are located. Dalton State is only a 10 minute drive from my house so it's also very convenient for me. The only thing that keeps Dalton State from being "excellent" in my opinion is the limited majors they offer. Now they offer a large selection of majors, however they lack in the science and technology majors in my opinion. Other than that, it's a great college.
Courses should not vary so much in content, requirements, and challenge based only on your professor. If I take Math 1101, it should not be easy (open book tests, group work, easy A, covers a few chapters) in one class and in the same course be so hard you're at math lab everytime the doors open to get extra help because the professor basically puts it out there, gives an assignment and you learn on your own, cover the entire book front to back, and take huge weighted tests, not knowing if you're doing it correctly til the test is graded and over. Surely there are curriculum standards and set requirements to go by? Why aren't they collaboratively planning this course? Same thing with English 11102, one easy A the other well you work you're self to death for a D. How can you compare gpa or course pass:fail rates? This way you can't it is not the same! Honors grads might mean I took all the easy professors and rode on others coat tails where as a C student with no HOPE money solely due to the professor or lack of, who is smarter, worked harder but when compared in an interview is not getting the job in the end...it needs to be the same! It's unfair and unethical!
