Daemen University Reviews
Rating 3.51 out of 5 485 reviews
I have had an amazing experience at Daemen throughout my past 3.5 years here. The professors are excellent in some departments, while others could not care less. The clubs and student activities are lower than average universities due to the more academics driven atmosphere. Becoming involved on campus is an easy process with over 54 clubs and organizations. There are also some leadership positions available. Many offices on campus want to support you in whatever you need. I suggest that if you stay focused in your courses, pay attention in class, and manage a work-school-life balance, you will thrive here. I am proud to be a student here.
Daemen has exceptional academics for all majors, b but mostly medical or science based. As a medical maid myself, I really appreciate that. I slash love how small the campus is and student body, coming from a small town, I need to attend somewhere of similar size. Most of the professors really make an edit to get to know their students and their names. This may seem small but at most colleges they couldn’t really care less. I feel as if everyone here really cares and hippies for the students to do the best they can. It is Shay very easy to get help when you need it from a professor due to such small class sizes and lots of time for office hours. My one complaint would be outdated dorming/ apartments and the dining hall could use a little work.
I like that they give research opportunities to students as a graduation requirement because it helps make students more competitive applicants for graduate school. Another thing I like about it is that the staff is very friendly and always willing to help students with any issues. However, one thing I would like to see improve is the grading system and lecture styles of certain professors. I have taken classes where the professor did not seem to be totally knowledgeable on the content of the lecture, and also where the professor did not grade quizzes and exams the same way for all students.
