The Library at the school is very nice and they extend their ours of availability during exam periods. However to get any type of info help or resources you are actually entitled to as a student you need to work 3x as hard.
it can be very easy to do well in your courses at the same time it could be equally as hard. you might go through the school without having the school go through you. Despite that, this is a good place to go to school just to socialize or gain experience.
My experience here was good but mostly bad, I've met a couple of fair professors here for the most part. If I could change anything at this college it would be the science department. The exams they give you for A&P you can barely read and they expect you to give the correct answer; the diagrams look smeared. The students are told that they will dissect a frog and a pig for lab long story short I never did.
Medgar Evers is a great school but the staff and the overall customer service is not very good. There needs to be more accountability for staff and professors to care about the students and the school's bottom line. The school also needs more degree programs and more classes for the evening and weekend students. We need more of these options so that more students will want to attend this school. This school has a lot of potential to be better in terms of the area, location, and the diversity of people that we serve. Medgar Evers College with some small improvements to faculty, staff, etc can be well received. We can be the best college in Brooklyn, if we apply a few tweaks here and there.
The online courses are a great attempt but they do not always work effectively. For example, if the professor does not know how to use this online format well, this can backfire on the students and make a less than exemplary class experience.
I wouldn't recommend taking online courses because it's more difficult. It's better to be in the classroom so you will get a better understanding.
I don't know how I will do it yet.
The courses and assignments are not challenging nor engaging for serious college students.
There isn't much interaction between the students.
To be honest I would not suggest Medgar Evers College to anyone. I thought going there was convenient. I came from a private setting college where i obtain my 1st degree. My experience at Medgar is a learning yet frustrating. They have no organization, you become your own administrators. The school has no proper direction and keep student in a cycle of failing them so they can get paid. you can attend class there be a A student and fail the class. Also the facility make it hard for you to graduate from the school and keep making you take class unnecessarily. the Nursing program standands are unobtainable the school needs to be evaluated seriously. there is more but i will let other students tell you more.
it bad you are force to take class when it scheduled if you really need to
my school don't offer much online courses, but i have been told its very difficult to do.
financial aid office doesnt help you with choices to make is either a loan or pay up you're better off doing it yourself and dont bother to call they never pick up or rush you out the phone
activities not really talked about or known to other students
Students come to class then go home. There are barely any interactions.
The library has been under construction over a year and students don't have access to much text because everything is in storage. There are also barely any campus activites.
I don't like my school, I would change so much about it.
