Kingsborough is a great school for commuters. Sadly, there aren't any dorms, because it's a community college. It should be 4 years old with such a stunning campus! There is really no major party scene here, but there have been some incredible friendships with other students and faculty alike. An pleasant experience was often a private beach or just relaxing at the water and eating outside. My professors, in particular the professors of Education, Dept, and the professors in the professional training program, are real gems of college. A few of them helped me set up even more for me than I could mention now. I love this school & recommend it to all! I have participated during the pandemic of 2020 to take on-line courses at Kingsborough Community College. Not only did professors and advisers make their curriculum adjustable to the online forum in just a week, but they were also extremely accommodating with online lectures, ZOOM meetings and assignments. My teachers are all lovely.
What I like about Kingsborough Community College is that everyone is so helpful. They have several therapists on campus and it’s free to students. The school also has fresh produce available for free that is grown on campus. Throughout the week if you don't have food or need food they also have a pantry. They give out many emergency scholarships and go over the applicants to give them the amount they need. The college also provides a job network to connect students with places that are hiring. They provide free tutoring and the professors are very passionate and love their work making the experience exhilarating. All in All, it's hard but the school truly looks after its students
The only experience I have with attending online classes with Kingsborough Community College is during the pandemic of 2020. Now, not being a person that particularly enjoys online classes, the professors and advisors not only made their curriculum adjustable to an online forum in just a week, they were extremely accommodating with online lectures, ZOOM meetings and assignments. One of my professors even offered to buy books for students!
