CUNY Kingsborough Community College Reviews
Kingsborough is a wonderful commuter school. Unfortunately there are no dorms, and it's a community college. With such a beautiful campus, it should become a 4yr! There really is no big party scene here, but some amazing friendships were made with other students and faculty alike. Right outside of campus, some extracurricular smoking activities take place near to the gate. On a nice windy day the smell comes on campus, also a nice way to relax btwn classes. The private beach or just sitting by the water and eating outdoors was always an enjoyable experience. My professors, especially the Education Dept professors and office workers are true gems of the college. A few of them have helped me prepare in more ways than I can list now. I love this school & recommend it to all!
The only experience I have with attending online classes with Kingsborough Community College is during the pandemic of 2020. Now, not being a person that particularly enjoys online classes, the professors and advisors not only made their curriculum adjustable to an online forum in just a week, they were extremely accommodating with online lectures, ZOOM meetings and assignments. One of my professors even offered to buy books for students!
Great! Great! Great! All my teachers are lovely. You'll meet an unfair professor but that doesn't make the school bad. And to be honest, the staff on campus in every department is very friendly. The business department is the BEST! Also, they try to help us in every way. From job fairs, internships, scholarships, tutoring etc. They also have a huge library and clean cafeteria. And the school has its own beach! The campus is VERY beautiful ❤😭. I just wish there was a dorm but overall the school is Great! Safety is priority! Teachers ACTUALLY teach and are available during office hours. English majors should take Monica Filimon. She's a gem❤.
