Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Cornell University. I was within the Policy Analysis and Management Department. Our courses were rigorous, but our professors encouraged collaboration with our peers through group papers, presentation, and problem sets. In addition, my peers were often happy and excited to work together. Outside of the PAM department, I was heavily involved with the Einhorn Center for Community-Engagement. Through my role at the Center, I really learned how to integrate community-engagement within my classes and professional work. I found that Cornell had many opportunities for students to engage with the Greater Ithaca community.
At Cornell University, my experience has been highly enriching. The rigorous curriculum in Applied Economics and Management, focusing on finance and real estate, has honed my analytical and critical thinking skills. The diversity of the student body and the range of extracurricular opportunities, such as my involvement in the Alpha Fund and the Cornell Real Estate Consulting Club, have greatly enhanced my learning and networking experiences. While the academic rigor is challenging, it's instrumental for personal and professional growth. I would appreciate more hands-on learning experiences related to real estate and finance to bridge the gap between theory and practice.
Great academics and professors and lots of interesting elective classes to choose from. Sometimes, challenging to get into classes and very expensive overall, between tuition and other costs of being a college student. Many events and things to get involved in, but sometimes, applications necessary, or sometimes, things are invite-only. Good experience overall, but certainly both pros and cons during my time here.
