CSU Global has been a great experience to completing my Bachelor's degree in Human Services. I started college 25 years ago, obtained my Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and life distracted me from continuing my Bachelor's. CSU Global has been a easy to use format for a returning student, and allows for classwork to be earned from any location with an internet connection. The class formats are easy to navigate, the content is relative and challenging, and the teachers are accessible and willing to help with any questions a student might have, and the financial aid department was always very quick to respond to my questions or concerns. The only negative aspect was that the financial aid office was not communicative when there were issues unless I reached out to them first, so there was a time I had to miss a term while financial aid issues were being worked out. But that also taught me to be on top of the financing aspect of education. I am now 4 classes away from graduation!

I love the flexibility and affordability of CSU Global. I choose to create my own major with the Interdisciplinary Professional studies major which consists of 8 major courses from any discipline. Each week there is typically one written assignment per class, a discussion, and a multiple-choice test for each class. Each class lasts 8 weeks and teachers are often very quick to respond to questions via the CSU email platform.
If you are looking for a traditional college experience, look elsewhere. If you want to customize your education and have other commitments but are ready to pursue a degree, CSU is worth considering! There are not athletics or a party scene. There is diversity within the classes and great communication with administration.

Colorado State University-Global Campus (CSU-Global) is like many universities in that you have to be fully committed to your studies or you will fall behind very quickly. However, the university provides many tools to help you stay focused on the task ahead. Furthermore, like many universities, CSU-Global does have an issue where not every instructor is truly committed to his or her teaching. Each course portfolio project is rigorous and requires more time completing than any brick and mortar campus, but that is expected of most online campuses. Therefore, if every instructor isn't equally invested than may students will find themselves struggling, and I was one of those students who have never programmed before in Java. All in all, if you can find motivation and make use of every tool appointed to you, then CSU-Global is a great establishment to work alongside to complete your degree.
