College of Southern Nevada Online Campus Reviews
Rating 3.67 out of 5 3 reviews
I have had my fair share of experiences online and in person in this school. The campus is rather clean and tidy. I take it online more than in person as the commute for me is a lot to handle constantly. Overall, I have had few bad experiences with teachers online. I used 'ratemyprofessor.com' to make sure all my classes were up to par with what I had in mind. My main problem with CSN is the fact of contact with the school. When it comes to administration, unless you are lucky, a lot of problems and confusion result in my experience. The school is a good school for knocking out your general ed's and your basic classes. I am only going to CSN for an Associate's Degree so it might be different for longer amounts of time. Be careful with the counselors or advisors you decide upon. I have had many bad counselors from this school, yet I now have a very hard-working counselor known as, Ortega Luis. My counselor actually tries to show me the correct route and helps me get there.
When coronavirus hit, they were ready to switch to online in the blink of an eye. It almost felt like I was still in class. Most of the professors here are great and want to help you learn. However, there are some that are still trying to get used to the entire online learning process. Because of this, they sometimes make it uneccsairly harder on others to learn. This college is great for starting out and I would reccomend it to high schoolers looking to recieve their associates before graduating.
Would like to see courses offered at all campuses. Driving across town in vegas one campus to another isn't so great. That said I do really like the flexibility
