Instructors were helpful and supportive. Small class sizes helped connect with peers and instructors.
Online courses were easy to follow and keep up to date. All courses were through blackboard, so it was easily accessible.
One thing that stands out at CEI is the help they give the students. Every time I have asked for help, they go out of their way to help me with what I need. I have had some very terrible experiences with schools in the past, and CEI is the best school I have ever received help from. I would 10/10 recommend this school for people who aren't sure what to do with financial aid, applications, tuition, classes, etc. I strongly believe they will help you step by step to make sure you have what you need, because that is what they did for me and I am very thankful for it.
I am not a person who knows their way around technology. CEI makes it super easy for you to reach those online classes. I love how you can choose what classes you want online and ones you want on campus. I am currently taking two online classes, just because I find it a little less stressful to do something on my own and not around people. My favorite part about online classes is that you can do it at your own pace.
The courses are great and fun to take. The staff are great and are very willing to assist you in succeeding.
The College of Eastern Idaho is a great location to begin your college endeavors! I have been a student here for about a year now and really love the experience. So far my instructors are great! One professor was a little unprepared but given it was his first-semester teaching at CEI it was easy to understand he was adjusting to the campus. However, all instructors here want you to succeed and you see that daily. Campus staff is amazing and is so ready to help with everything from advising to Registration and so much more. The only downsides are the growing pains from the increase in the student body. They have increased some parking areas to accommodate the growing needs of both staff and students. Overall, you couldn't go wrong here.
With the whole COVID-19 situation, my winter 2019 semester changed from on-campus to online to ensure staff and student safety. This was a hurried adjustment but as a whole, it worked out great. Staff accommodated students and made sure that those who were unable to complete assignments were given every chance to work through technical issues and helped those unfamiliar with Blackboard to get guided help. Overall I was able to finish all my classes and still maintain my GPA at a 4.0 all thanks to the teacher's efforts to help students transition to online when this wasn't foreseen.
Overall it was a great experience and love the price to attend the school, which was way more affordable for my case. The only down side I had would maybe be one professor I had but it could have been worse. I also love that the school was close to home so I could stay in my hometown and not be far from family.
Due to the pandemic we had to go online for some of the remaining of the spring semester and the transition was good. It was something new for most everyone but we got through it and the outcome I am highly satisfied with.
Great college. The programs turn out great workforce employees. They are invested in you, professors are great and caring.
There are some really great teachers that strive to help students understand the criteria but there are many teachers that don't. The facility is always clean and we'll kept. The parking could be bigger. There is never enough parking spaces.
The administration at this college is top notch. They are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The class schedule has a large amount of classes to choose from to broaden your horizons to other degrees. They also have TRIO and a special education program on campus. Amazing place to attend and the tuition is very affordable.
I like the low prices of the credits. The classes are the small size that is great to be taught and not forgotten about. The building are great and has plenty of room for everyone.
Admission process was very easy! There was always communication with enrolling into a program was great as well. I do recommend meeting with the college admission advisor to ensure you are in the correct classes every year.
CEI is a community college, so go in with college expectations. Otherwise, the programs they teach are excellent for the technical field, not to mention they house the best Cybersecurity program west of the Mississippi. There is no on-campus housing, but there are plenty of apartments and houses close by. There's also no athletic program being a community college, but they do hold Super Smash Bros. tournaments. The food could be better, but the campus is next door to plenty of great options. Where the college lacks, the surrounding area makes up quite well.
We are not a community college with more degrees always in the plan. Things change with activities every month while school is on.
There aren’t very many activities for students at the school. I know the school has been working on it. The education if pretty good. I am in the machine tool technology program. I have learned quite a bit in the year I’ve been there.
