I am not native to Idaho, but I have now lived here for 10 years. I knew I wanted to pursue a nursing degree and had slim options. Luckily, I work at a local hospital and knew which schools had good and bad reputations. I am one semester into the ARN program and the rumors are true - CEI students are prepared for hands-on patient care! We've learned skills that will serve us well in simulation and clinical settings. We have incredible instructors, many of whom still work in the healthcare field while teaching. Their knowledge is impressive and the one-on-one relationship you can form with them is rare and appreciated. I am very impressed with CEI as a whole. I took many of my pre-requisite courses online and had a similar experience; knowledgable teachers, affordable prices, and great quality education.
I have had a great experience with CEI! Coming from a community college in California, CEI gives a more personal level of learning I enjoy. You are able to ask questions in class and get to know your fellow classmates. CEI has been very easy to navigate and all staff have been helpful on providing the right information to help you or where you need to go to get the help needed. All in all I would say this college has been spectacular and have not found much thought in needing to change anything. One thing I would maybe recommend for them is to put out a yearly calendar for the school like important dates such as when semesters start and end, midterm dates, when you can start signing up for classes etc.
I have been at CEI for a few months now and so far, I have loved everything about it. All the staff and teachers I have come in contact with have been super nice, helpful, and easy to talk to. The buildings are all very clean, including the bathrooms. I appreciate all the resources provided to students, such as free parking, a certain number of free printing pages, and free access to Word, Powerpoint, and other programs. I also have really enjoyed using their online program, Canvas, which puts all assignments, grades, classes, etc. in one place and it is very easy to navigate.
