An affordable school with a ton of programs. Teachers are super and all staff want students to succeed. Technical programs include health care and industry, traditional programs offered online and on campus. Very involved in the community!
Coffeyville has some great teachers andcoaches! I was part of the theatre program and felt excluded from the rest of the school. It is very inclusive for sports but nothing else. I also wish there were more activities and community involvement. While there, I tried starting recycling and a community garden but neither got launched successfully. The Quiz bowl team is so fun, Mr Butcher is great and that was my favorite part of the school. The dorms aren’t bad but the community around the college can be sketchy.
Overall, my experience has been good. Starting school there was rough at first, because there were many times I felt alone and could visit my mom for short breaks or weekends because I'm from the Dallas area. However, once I finally made some friends, college life became fun and easier to deal with. My friends and I had to make our own fun though, as the town we go to school in is quite small. That being said, it would be nice if the school could put more effort into holding events and activities for students to take part in. I also play volleyball here and from my perspective as an athlete, I wish our facilities were better. We have some equipment that's falling apart, our gym's bleachers are also struggling, and when stuff does get updated, its typically our coach doing it herself. So, I do wish they would do more things for us but even still, I enjoy it, I love the people I've met and the experiences I've had here.
