I did my first two years of college at coastal Carolina community college before transferring to UNCW. My time at CCCC was fantastic! Teachers are super personable and willing to help anyway they can. They are always trying to provide students with the best material they can and avenues for learning. Even when we went through the pandemic my final semester they were super helpful with ensuring that I had the means to continue classes online and stay safe when I had to take them in person. I’ve made Genuine connection with both professors and the staff, to the point where I still keep in contact with several of them. They check in periodically to see how my bachelors is going and if there is anything that has change so they can better guide new students in the transfer to a four year university.
CCCC is an amazing place to begin your education. The people that are employed there are ready to help in most cases and are often friendly and inviting faces when you take on the daunting task of college life. The only thing I suggest change the institution would be its online courses. It is often hard to communicate, and when you do have online discussions with the teachers, some often seem aggravated. I know that taking an online course is daunting, and I would think that an open mind by both teachers and students would be needed in order to succeed in a proper education.
I have been attending Coastal Carolina Community College for about six semesters now and overall it has been a good experience. I have had many professors that were always willing to help me out side of the classroom setting. Not only are the professors willing to help but admissions and the counselors were wonderful in helping me figure out the next steps I need to take in order to pursue my long-term career goal. Coastal also offers a multitude of courses, programs and other little groups to help you with your studies and even finding some hobbies. Coastal Carolina CC is a great community college that I have attend and I do recommend it to quite a bit of people who are not 100% what they want to do. It is always nice that the faculty is willing to work with you and help you understand what you would like to do with your career and even your academic career!
