The community is very small so its easy to get to know everyone on campus and form close friends. However, on the flip-side, the school can be extremely cliquey and in many ways just felt like high school on steroids. Party wise, it sucks, varsity sports aren't a big deal aside from maybe the rugby team and there is no greek life. It is a dry campus so admin will do anything and everything to prevent any form of partying from happening. Be prepared to only drink in your dorm room, attend small sus off-campus house parties, or be confined to a bonfire in -32 degree weather. The dress code is absolutely ridic and the RAs tend to be crazed individuals who are only out to get you. Unfortunately, the local area doesn't offer much to do off-campus. Pros are that the school is safe, classes are small, professors are mostly chill and interesting, and academic help is always available. If you want the traditional catholic experience and love the liberal arts, this is probs the school for you.
I'm not a student here, but I know someone who is. The university has very interesting classes, no doubt. However, it does not prepare students for the real world. There is no teacher preparation program, no STEM majors, no business, no nothing. Plus, it comes at a really high price--$20K a year. People graduate with $80K in debt and no job to pay it off. The only real job that they can do is work at a nearby school but that only makes $55K a year. Alumni can't get high-paying jobs. There are no notable alumni in the workforce.
Christendom College offers an amazing Liberal Arts education that is immersed in the Catholic Faith. The teachers provide a well rounded education of philosophy, history, theology, literature and political science. While the classes and Catholic culture are unique, the college administration struggles with some modernization of the buildings, cafeteria, and student life policies.
