Chicago State University Reviews
Rating 3.32 out of 5 646 reviews
So far my experience at Chicago State University has been a positive experience for the most part. The university is a very good place to learning and growing. The university is very well established and has been very helpful to the students, staff and community. It has been a great opportunity for me to learn and support my community through the process of learning and building relationships with students and staff members. I’m excited about my future as a student at the university. I’m in the undergrad program for Early Childhood Education. The program is an excellent opportunity to learn about how you can help young children learn, grow and improve their skills. The Early Childhood Education department is also providing educational resources to help me with the development process of learning and teaching young children. The department staff are very supportive and helpful to all students in the program.
This Institution is great, but the professors there could be a lot more organized. I find that many professors teach with a different approach and mean to effect students in a positive way but when they are not organized the students suffer. As the semester came to an end my professors began to slack. At the end of the Spring term there were assignments that were not graded which was a disappointment since I put in a lot of hard work into my work. Also, since the professors did not grade the assignments they were basically just entering grades without actually grading your assignments. Overall they really need to improve the campus's appearance, with all the money colleges receive they should really update the campus with more modern landscapes. The bathrooms are outdated, parking lot is filled with potholes, the stairs have damage if you were to fall you could be injured and exposed to diseases due to the rust. The campus is old and needs remodeling.
My experience at Chicago State University, allowed me to become a well-rounded, social individual. I made a lot of new friends as well as enjoying the atmosphere of college life. The professors educational standards were excellent and well organized. I also gain a personal relationship with some of the faculty. Not only did these actions occur during class time but sometimes occurring off campus as well, leading to new friendships. With the opportunities I was given I forfilled my life long dream of receiving my degree as well as walking across the stage.
