CDU has great and amazing instructors and academic support. It has small class sizes which enable students to get individualized attention. The downside is the extremely limited class schedules, making it difficult to work. There’s FWS if you qualify. Second downside is the financial aid and scholarships process. It’s antiquated and beyond frustrating. Finally, there’s no student housing.
My experience was okay, I attended school during Covid, so that made it a little challenging. On the weekends when we had to come to campus, we had to take covid test for entry into the classroom. This was a very tedious task. I would like to see a change in how the teacher's lecture. Meaning not reading from a PowerPoint. Overall I really enjoyed the interaction between my cohort.
The school lacked preparedness. Everything was in disarray. The finance department forgot to collect my fasfa for summer semester. Overnight I had to figure out how to cover the semester fees . They didn’t help just told me to get a loan. No help at all emergency grant program took over a semester to receive . They were very critical on what was considered an emergency. Overall horrible experience with institution. Professors made last minute changes never updated the syllabus
