Help everyone, I am here to share my experience with Chaffey College.
To start off, I started at Chaffey College the summer I graduated from high school, June 2016. I began with the Summer Readiness Program with the EOPS Program. Beginning college, I had no idea where this journey would take me or what to even expect. I started classes and I slowly felt myself understanding the way college worked and I felt relieved. I met with my counselors often which helped tremendously. I was a Full-time student during Fall term with 13 units. It was a workload but constant studying and determination paid off. I finished with a 4.0 GPA. Chaffey College has been there whenever I needed help whether it has been from my professors or counselors. I think having that type of support from your school really does encourage students to persevere through all life's obstacles. I can not speak on behalf of other students but everything that I have encountered, I have yet to dislike!
Review Chaffey College
I was fortunate enough to choose a community college over a university right after high school.

It may sound odd to seniors in high school now, but it was the best decision I made. At 17 I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life and let me tell you, stepping onto a community college you can take a sigh of relief because there you will find that it is normal! You try classes you think that interest you, take your general ed., and you grow as a person and you then find what your calling is. The counselors there that I have experienced were very insightful, helpful and extremely excited to help me on the path that I want to go. I couldn't be happier with my decision at chaffey. People might say it's over crowded, and I will agree, the first two weeks are always packed, but after that, students weed out, and the determined ones stay. And boom, parking problem is gone. If I had the chance to do it all over again I would. It has been a wonderful experience and I encourage family and friends to give Chaffey a chance as well. It really could change your college experience.
Professors in this college are usually amazing. However the internal system in this school is horrible. Horrible international student conunselor, instead of helping the student, they tried to delay the student's progress by encouringing students to get into classes that aren't suppose to, thus, instead of spending 2~3 years in a junior college, students ended up spending 4 to 5 years taking classess that are irrelevant.

I am speaking on behalf for most international stduent because I am one of them, they took out the priority registration system thus now international students are required to take classess that are not within their major because new intl students do not have registration privilledge.

Not only that, the administration office for chaffey is horrible, short staff and they take their time to process student's information.
