I recently just graduated from High School and didn’t want to attend college right away. Central New Mexico Community College has many great offers and benefits towards their students. If you’re looking to save money and attend school with easy online courses, this is great fit for you!
I enjoy the structure of Brightspace, the website they use to access all classwork and grades. It's easy to get in touch with someone if you need help and it is easy to navigate their website to find information about programs, degrees, expenses, etc. I was very disappointed when CNM offered me the Bridge to Success Scholarship in the fall of my freshman year and during my spring semester took it away without notifying me about it. They claimed it was due to a lack of funding but this caused many problems financially. I was able to get the scholarship back, but I was very frustrated with this behavior. I earned that scholarship and you rewarded it to me, if you couldn't afford to give it to me then why did you award it in the first place? As well as, why would you take it from someone 5 months later and not notify them about this charge, as certain charges prevent you from registering for other classes.
CNM has built me a solid foundation for higher-level education. I am so grateful to all the wonderful and caring professors I have had. I have always been a full-time online student and appreciate the flexibility of my school schedule. Throughout my time, my professors have always pushed me to the best of my ability. The staff and advisors at CNM are amazing as well. My advisor pushed me to succeed and did her best to make sure I felt supported. Overall, my experience at CNM has been excellent and built me a great basis for pursuing my dreams at a 4-year university.
