People aren't very friendly here overall, walkable campus with nice ponds with newer facilities but not too much to do on campus
I have had an amazing experience at California State University, Stanislaus! The professors are great and provide a great learning experience. I have been taking mostly classes online, and it has been really great as well. I would like to see a change by the school, if they could provide more online classes.
I love the school. The staff, teachers, and everything about their Turlock campus was amazing! The campus was beautiful and everyone I had encountered with was very nice and helpful. If I hadn't had to move away further from the campus due to person reasons, I would still attend classes in person because of the energy and atmosphere it provided.
Would recommend college to others who want a cheaper university. The campus is beautiful and there are amazing professors there as well.
There are great professors. Food on campus has gotten a little better. I like the new student building but there's an area that reminds me of high school that I don't like and that's the color paddled seats with the wood materials. No one really sits on that because it hurts your back.
My first two years were awesome. I had a chill college experience, it felt like a higher step from high school. I liked the mixture of intimate classrooms and big lecture halls. I liked that you were able to connect with professors. Campus was easy to navigate and resources provided at campus were accommodating. My last couple of years were robbed by Covid. Through all the mess and uncertainty Stan State did everything gracefully and provided assistance to students through that difficult time.
My experience at California State University has been more than I could have ever imagined. I started attending in spring of 2017 and a Criminal Justice Major and it was great. I loved the classes and the professors were engaging and helpful, but I realized that I didn't really want a career in Criminal Justice. I made a change to become a Business Major and that eventually led me to Study Abroad in Germany at the University of Mannheim. CSU Stanislaus has an amazing Study Abroad program and they helped me every step of the way. It was a life changing experience and I was able to make long-lasting bonds with people all over the world. Even through the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic, they went above and beyond to ensure that all staff and students were safe and had all necessary resources available to them.
I loved the teachers but some of the counselors seemed uninterested in the students they had to help. Otherwise, the campus was beautiful and it was an easy commuter school for me to be within the area.
Really enjoyed learning from the psychology professors. Not only in class but also through their own work experience.
My experience with this university has been very good. I have had trouble with my application and accidentally submitted it wrong. When I reached out to university they were very nice and helpful. They helped me redo my mistake that I made on my application. Overall this university is very involved with their students and helpful.
This is a very community college-like university. I mean I commute 4 days a week and seem to not be able to make friends. I am a transfer student as well so many that plays a role in that. I love how green the campus is, lots of trees. I do also love all the water there is around it.
I appreciate the size of the school- not overwhelmingly large but big enough that you still have the “college experience”. Professors were kind. The school isn’t crazy diverse but for the area its not bad. Cheaper than most state schools too.
What i like about stan state is that it's close to home and a very good school that has a nice campus has the major i wanna study and has the sport i wanna play.
I truly love going to Stan. I spend most of my time in the library and in the Student Center where I get most of my work done. There are a lot of geese around, so sometimes certain pathways get dirty from them, but otherwise its a beautiful campus. There are so many great clubs and events going on, usually on Wednesdays! For finals they brought in free massage chairs, had a hot cocoa study session, and had a therapy coloring mural. It was so neat!
I enjoyed the layout of Stanislaus. Everyone was extremely helpful when walking around the campus. It's also convenient and close to my house.
I think it is a great school. It offers a variety of opportunities that offer student and staff relationships. The professors are dedicated to help students understand the lectures and offer assistance when necessary!
I really like CSU Stan. It is a good school with professors that really care for you. They just built a bunch of new facilities for the students and it is relatively affordable compared to most other college’s tuition.
