This school is full of wonderful people. There a lot of students from all over the world with a brilliant personalities. If you don’t fit in, they will help you to fit in and succeed. A lot of students from economically successful social groups in the third college generation. I witnessed freshmen who drive Maserati and Tesla. Some professors are incredible, polite and have a tendency to like all of their students and treat them like if they were their kids. The parking lots are great. You be late for 30 minutes before classes and always find a free spot. I’m so glad I graduated from that place. Beaches are nearby and it’s a beach life. If I will ever have kids, I will send them to CSULB instead of sending them to an expensive private college where they can experience bad influence from spoiled classmates or toxic environment of faculty and administration. Don’t hesitate and Go Beach!
Being a full-time freshman at CSU Long Beach has been a good one so far! I think the academics are good (depending on your professors and their work load) from my personal experience and connecting with other people is easy. I like the fact that my school is one of the top performing CSU schools in academics, which is true considering there's a push on our education.
One of the things I wish that could change here at CSU Long Beach is to have lower costs for students. A full-time parking pass is about $600 per school year ($300/semester), which is quite the financial investment. I wish they would lower the price down for students who don't have all the funds for short-term college expenses.

The campus is beautiful and pretty easy to get around, after a few walks around you won't get lost. The students are approachable and it's easy to make friends, the professors are great but like any campus there can be some exceptions. I would definitely recommend using everything you already pay for in your tuition to your advantage. There are many tutoring opportunities, if you need tutoring or want to be a tutor, there's the recreation center, it's great for exercise, there is so much you could do, there's even a bowling alley! Besides all the more exciting things on campus there are also several great study areas on campus, including the library, the Horn center and even outside on the grass or a table. Overall, Long Beach has a great environment and many opportunities for students to feel supported, appreciated and successful.
