My experience in Cal State Dominguez Hills is fun, maybe exciting, and chill. My professors are very kind and care about their students. They also try their best to teach us the curriculum the best I can, which I appreciate. I also really love the tutoring they offer at this campus. So, if you want help on an essay or your math homework, they try your best to help you, and your professors also encourage you to attend tutoring. I have also met nice and friendly students so far. None of them judge you nor show you any negativity. This school is very diverse as well, which makes me feel comfortable. In conclusion, I am having a great time and experience at this school.
Cal State Dominguez Hills is a great school choice if your close within the community. It so diverse thats one of the reason I chose the school because I knew I wanted to be surrounded with people who looked like me and had the same goals of getting there degree. It was important to be around people who came from similar backgrounds, because I never feel out of place or feel like I don’t belong.
I’m a transfer from el Camino. I love Dominguez hills and being a toro. The campus is huge so easy to get lost there. I like the overall scenery, how big the buildings are. I’d like eops to be available for transfer students. I feel like we need help also so don’t limit it to only freshman. If anything we need the MOST help.
I live in the dorms and the people here don't know how to really take care of themselves. Which makes it kind of hard to live here but I'm getting used to it.
All services including tutoring, health, counseling are amazing. Every instructor checks in with you based on absences and grades.
As a freshmen I can say I will enjoy my time here at CSUDH because of the diversity and the help you receive. Honestly they have tons of resources and they never fail to remind you even the teachers remind you which is very pleasant. All my teachers are very kind and understand and teach the material well. The teachers also like to connect with the students which honestly made me feel very comfortable and made want to branch out during class.
The counsellors are really friendly and ready to help. The time to process my financial aid was a bit of issue at this university.
My overall experience at Cal State Dominguez Hills has been fantastic! I am a first generation student about to achieve my dream of getting my Bachelor's degree and I am so happy I will be getting it from CSUDH! The professors are super helpful and incredibly smart. The Loker student union has some amazing activities for students to pass the time or relax until another class starts. There are board games, tv's and even a pool table! The parking is plenty, just expensive for a semester parking permit (over 200$) The bookstore is well organized and have lots of snacks. I do wish they had more food options but the options they do have are delicious. Finally I love how small the campus is! It makes it easier to connect with professors and it is much easier to make friends especially if you're in the same major. I am looking forward to graduation in the spring, overall my time at Dominguez Hills has been wonderful!
I started my college experience at CSUDH back in 2018 as an undergrad freshman. I have seen the campus evolve and continuously improve the campus by creating buildings with advanced technologies. I really enjoy doing my homework at the library. They offer so many sources that make it nearly impossible not to graduate from this university. As a graduate student now, I have really seen CSUDH progress and evolve.
I'm an incoming freshman at California State University of Dominguez Hills. I started my summer classes on July 11 and ended on August 18. My overall experience was good. I met many people who helped me and guided me through my courses. I would like to see more peer mentors providing information about resources on campus.
This University has allowed me to be flexible with my time as a full time student, as well as a full time employee. It is very difficult to keep up with both, but the staff here has been very supportive behind their students and their ambitions. I have had nothing but a great time here and I’m glad to have been a person to be able to attend this university. They offer a multitude of groups and resources to their students to help keep them on track and reach our goal in graduating.
It’s a great size campus and very diverse . Living in campus is very fun and enjoyable. The campus has lots of events and activities to keep you envolver and feel welcomed. I would like the financial aid to be changed and be more responsible, responsive, and helpful throughout the school year.
I started my freshman year at CSUDH this summer by taking summer classes. First of all i like how this university has many opportunities for freshman students, for example this summer classes. they offered you to take free summer classes to get more units and be illegible to graduate in 4 years. One thing that i would like to see change or i would like to see, programs for Spanish speakers who just graduate from high school. We do not really see resources for Spanish speakers students and i would like to change that.
My experience so far has been amazing! I've met wonderful people who actually care about what they love to do and for others. I've created many friends, learned so much about my major and received plenty of help from students and professors. I'm actually really excited to go back this month for the fall semester. The professors make learning fun and enjoyable, and the students there are kind, funny, and supportive.
Everyone is very polite on campus and courteous. I enjoy how the school surveys us online often and ask for our opinions to further better the experience on campus. I also enjoy our farmers market and pop up events with free food.
What I like about CSUDH is the family connection you receive when you step foot on campus. The advisors, professor, and faculty all genially want to see you succeed. Opportunities are endless at CSUDH. I know I made the best decision to pick this campus. Once a toro, Always a toro!
My journey at CSUDH has been a transformative one in the realm of health studies. Navigating through insightful courses and under the guidance of dedicated professors, I've delved into the intricacies of health and its impact on individuals and communities. Engaging in dynamic discussions, practical projects, and collaborative activities, I've deepened my understanding of health sciences and honed my analytical abilities.
Balancing coursework with newfound independence has been a learning experience in itself, teaching me essential life skills such as time management and adaptability. As I approach the culmination of my time at CSUDH, I'm equipped not only with a comprehensive health education but also a network of peers and mentors that will continue to support me on my journey to making a positive impact in the field of health.
