I love it! Chico offers amazing programs and benefits for the students here. I have had a great experience and am learning so much here.
Since it is my first year at Chico State, it has been a bit difficult since I am living a bit far away from campus, since the school didn't have enough on-campus housing. It has been hard to participate in events as well, like going on-campus for free food or going to any events, since I do have to take the buses and they don't run as late as the events are. But, I have made a few friends here and have been going out a bit.
I like how the professors are really caring and if you talk to them they will do their best to help you. I like the variety of clubs and organizations on campus that make it easier for students to connect with other students. I really enjoy the resources that Chico State offers. There is counseling available for students and many other mental health resources. I also really like the campus and how it is in a small town. Something that I would like to see changed is the amount of students who do engage in these activities. Chico is not a big school but I feel like many students don't use the resources that we have. And there are some clubs that don't have many participation. Other than that I don't have anything negative to say about Chico State. I really enjoy it and im glad I get to further my education there.
It is a very good school. There are so many on campus resources for students. the Chico state staff are very friendly and attentive.
International student experience:
As aforementioned it is very exaggerated and given the false sence of equality, diversity or realistic chances to get a financial aid. It is very highly that you will be oppressed, avoided, or at least have a barrier while trying to become a part of university's community. Generally, the community is very racist and monocultural. (Personally I had met hundeds of people on my first semester due to a reason that I was heavily americanized as I embraced the american culture before I got to the country, so it's not my personal problems with that). Financial aid is even worse for international students as we have only two scholarships availible on campus, and the cases where an international student receives remarkable amount of money could be counted as exceptional. Work situation would be the rock bottom, I guess, as students are legally limited to on-campus internships not exceeding 20 of work hours per week (But it's more of a law system fault).

Im enjoying the community and all the people around. I love going to school here, and the school in general. prefer to live here where it is peaceful over the craziness of a city where I am from
My favorite part of Chico is their study abroad. They offer so many options and are extremely supportive. The downside is with certain programs, you have to apply to another school US school, which can cause some confusion since you'll technically be enrolled at 3 schools simultaneously (Chico, the other US school, and your study abroad institution). This led to some delays in graduation school admissions, but they were slight.
The online BSBA at Chico is a really great program. It can be very fast-paced, but all 8 week course are always fast. The professor are super helpful and reply back in a timely manner. I wouldn't have been able to pass my courses if my professor didn't reply back so quick. Overall, I had a great time in the online BSBA and actually learned a lot.
I have had a great time here at chico state! Taking as many as classes as I can. The teachers are amazing as alway there to help with any questions I might have! The activities on campus are great too, the wrec is one of my favorite parts.
My experience in Chico State is great. It’s a beautiful campus and everyone is so nice. I am a RHMP majer and everyone in that department are so helpful.
I learned a lot, but I didn’t have the greatest experience while I was there. Made some fantastic friends though.

I have been a full time student at Chico State taking online classes. My main experience with courses and teachers has been overall outstanding. My only uneasiness with Chico State is the lack of responsibility to the student. I had difficulties in contacting the Financial Aid office via email, as most of the time my questions were not understood properly or never directly answered. I would like to see non verbal communications improved. Due to a single non direct email I am unable to continue my studies currently, and hope for Chico State to improve that aspect.
I always found a natural and true friendship at the most places and offices I visited at university of California Chico. There is a plenty of educational resources available for everybody. I would like to see there more enrollment possibilities for Spanish visitors who can handle the English language in an intermediate level but who just need some confidence in their language skills by keeping in touch with English speakers interaction.
I love Chico the trees the atmosphere and the people here are so nice and I love the small town vibes it has. The professors are nice and know how to explain the subject well. Chico offers some many benefits for its students.
I just started here this fall and was excited, but as of lately chico has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I mailed in my verification for financial aid in the second week of July, but they didn't receive it until the end. Every week, I would call to check up on my aid, and was told everything was fine. The 17th rolls around no funds, because they lied and didn't complete my file. I had to take out a temp loan, yet as a single parent my rent was delayed due to my dependency on that money. By the time I got that loan, bills were piled up, even with a new job it's been hard to recover. Rents due again, funds were supposed to disburse tomorrow, but guess what?!!! Something was wrong with my financial aid and again a delay which is their fault. I turned everything in timely, and to make matters worse they don't even notify you I had to call. I've been to 2 colleges and they were more professional than this, emailed you when there were issues etc. Honestly, I could've started at San Marcos.
Everyone is very welcoming, the campus is one of the best that I have seen. Many benefits come from going to Chico State, as there are many programs and opportunity's that can help a student in Chico.
