i would love to see the price lower for housing because the cost is a little much but that's pretty much all the changes I would like to see
My overall experience has been going very well. I have yet to experience a professor who hasn't been passionate about their field and teaching. It has been a great learning environment.
I’ve had a overall good experience I was skeptical about how my college experience would go but I am happy to say I have had an amazing experience at CSUB working towards my Bachelor degree in electrical engineering as well as working on myself by socializing and going to the gym.
Since i’m actually incoming freshmen i haven’t had the experience of what college is like. I can tell you what i like most about the school because we had an orientation. My favorite part had to be the 3 story library because it has lots of room for people to go to after their classes to study or work on homework.
I like that there is a food pantry on campus, that all students can go to once per week, where 16 points can get me some food items if I need them. I also like that there is a monthly food distribution because it saves me money from going to a grocery store instead. I would like to see a change in the amount of parking on campus because it always takes a while to find parking. However, there are bus routes I can take to campus that are free for students if I don't want to spend money on gas that month.
Csub is a nice camps full of nice people but it’s hard more me to ask people for help most people that I don’t know but above all it’s a good camps that have a lot of programs to help other student in need. I like to have my classes in person and be more active with my life. I would change about csub is the get bus because their are student that live fair away from csub and can’t get a ride or a Uber to csub.
I have enjoyed my time at CSUB. It was very informative, helpful, and educational. I believe CSUB has benefited me very well in terms of aiding in my education.
okay, bad advisors, but affordable. transitioned from quarter system to semester system in the middle of my bachelor's, which was kind of annoying. prices were going up when i was leaving
I am just entering California State University, Bakersfield this year, so I don't have much experience with this school.
I am a former alumni and graduated in 2007 with a Business Administration of Science-Management. Overall, it was a great experience. The professors were very attentive to students available for students. It was a quarter system, so it went much faster. Which is something that I liked. The university has expanded since then and it has more programs to select from. I would recommend Cal State Bakersfield.
The school’s distance online learning is created in a way that students do not feel isolated from the college experience.
I absolutely thought this university was great. From how welcoming the campus was to how the professors truly want you to succeed and will do anything to help you succeed.
I am glad to say that California State University Bakersfield is a school that cares about their students and their future. All the professors I have had, have been supportive and extremely understanding of each and every student. They address all concerns and help with whatever a student needs when in need of help.
The institution is quite nice. Most of the professors are admirable and capable of answering any questions. The professors care about their students and make sure that their students understand the topic before moving forward. Of course, there is always room for improvement. In my major specifically, I feel there are not a lot of options when choosing professors. Often, there is only one choice for each course when signing up. However, I would say it has been a good experience thus far.
cheapest csu that I know, and some teachers aren't bad. They care for you but otherwise great school has a lot of programs.
I absolutely love csub. The doors it can open for a student are amazing, and the resources there are infinite. It's a great place to be honestly if I wasn't a student there I would be there just for inspiration, the school is so beautiful. The staff is one of a kind, I have never met such passionate professors at any school before. There is so much to talk about, but my favorite part is just about all the resources available to the student to help us succeed such as writing programs, activities, events, safe places to study, workout, have peace. It's just an all around great university and I just want to always be apart of it.
I began college here in 2017. I struggled finding my passion in school. It took me a year and a half to something that spoke to me and a career field that I will love my whole life. My first year and a half was bumpy! But I believe the point of higher education is to find what speaks to you. The moment I discovered Geology, college was amazing! I made many new friends that I hope will be life-long and have had experiences that superceded my expectations of university life.
