A lot of people talk down about CSUN but it's actually a not a bad school. It's in the heart of Northridge and there's plenty to explore. Campus is clean, diverity is high, and people are friendly. While it may not be a UC, CSUN does offer a lot of programs specifically designed to help you graduate and succeed. I myself am a part of one of their programs designed to help you achieve a bachelors and a teaching credential within four years. There are a variety of resources to help you on your path and with so many students involved on campus its likely you'll see a friendly face ready to help. Although sometimes I do wish they had more professionals working instead of just students, that only insures that if you'd like to be involved or get a job on campus it's possible!
Review California State University - Northridge
I am currently still enrolled in Cal State Northridge and have had an overall positive experience. This was not my first choice college but it proved to be the most affordable given my means. One of the most frustrating things about CSUN has to be the parking lots as during the first couple of weeks of the semester it can take almost 2 hours to find parking. Other than that, I don’t have too many complaints. The structures are a little outdated but the campus is always clean and is now a smoke free campus, which I think is great! It can be a little difficult to find healthier food options but on the main streets there are great restaurants. I have yet to have a professor that I absolutely love but I have two more years to go so I remain optimistic.
My only problem with Cal State Northridge is that, sometimes they hire professors that teaches well, and meet the standards to teach. However, sometimes CSUN hires professors that needs a lot of work with their teaching skills. This is important because students pay for their tuition, and deserves quality classes/lectures.

For example, a professor I recently had for Math statistics that clearly have an accent that the whole class cannot be understand (or at least hear), and a writing that can't be read. This really affected my grades, and more than 50% of the class failed, leaving the professor with negative comments and bad evaluation.

On the other hand, CSUN is an awesome campus with peaceful atmosphere. Students are friendly. The campus completely stopped the smoking cigarette problem. And as an athlete, the gym is truly amazing!
